Job Description
Duties:
- Curate, tag, and upload multimedia content (videos, images, graphics) to UNEP’s Digital Asset Management system.
- Review and improve metadata to enhance searchability and consistency across the archive. c. Support routine audits, archiving, and organization of UNEP’s multimedia assets.
- Administer UNEP’s global YouTube channel, including scheduling and uploading content, managing metadata, thumbnails, playlists, and captions.
- Monitor audience engagement, prepare analytics reports, and support the publication of YouTube Shorts.
- Respond to comments and maintain community guidelines, flagging any issues to the supervisor.
- Assist with procurement-related tasks such as drafting terms of reference, tracking service orders and supporting vendor coordination.
- Maintain multimedia documentation and filing systems.
- Provide general administrative assistance to the Head of Multimedia as needed.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Visual communication, video production, library management or related field.
Experience:
- Familiarity with YouTube Studio and basic analytics tools is an asset.
- Prior experience in an international or multicultural environment is an advantage.
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Excellent professional writing and editing abilities in English, particularly for metadata, descriptions, and internal documentation.
- Strong digital literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and cloud-based systems.
- Ability to multitask and manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated interest or background in environmental issues, sustainability, or international development.
- Understanding of multimedia workflows (video, photo, and social media content) is a plus.
Languages:
- English, Level: Fluent, Required.
