Job Description
Tasks:
- Translate the Pan African Action Plan for Active Mobility for national and city level stakeholders
- Support the translation of policy briefs for interagency coordination on the action plan.
- Support in ensuring that francophone regions have access to PAAPAM resources (developing and translating PowerPoint presentations and videos in French
- Ensure the products are clear, concise, and audience-appropriate, and aligned with our communications guidelines and advocacy tone. The selected Online Volunteer will receive the source documents and will be supported with:
- Guidance on target audience (e.g. local governments, regional bodies, transport experts, and civil society in Francophone Africa).
- The PAAPAM communications style guide.
- Background on PAAPAM’s goals and mission.
Requirements:
- Native-level French and fluent English, especially in reading and writing.
- Experience with technical translation, ideally in areas related to urban planning, transport, sustainability, or active mobility.
- Prior translation, writing, or proofreading experience (up to 2 years).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, comfortable working with diverse teams.
- Proficiency in MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Microsoft Teams.
Languages:
- English, Level: Fluent, Required
- French, Level: Native language, Required
