Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Creation, testing, implementation, and support of the modules for the Invitation system based on Drupal.
  • Develop specifications based on functional requirements and an implementation plan.
  • Identify, install, and configure Drupal contributed modules to solve business needs.
  • Develop importing and exporting scripts for the content.
  • Collaborate with team members on development and implementation of APIs and other protocols to connect various systems with GEMS 2.0, including the new Invitation system.
  • Develop subsystems and modules for the Invitation system.
  • Keep informed on Drupal development best practices and coding standards.
  • Work closely with relevant Units in planning, technical layout, selection, and integration of applications.
  • Take part in the technical reviews and testing processes.
  • Offering flexible back-end support for diverse technical needs during WUF13.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science or Information Systems is required.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in web development, web best practices, responsive design, and current techniques is required.
  • Proven experience in Drupal, deep knowledge of Drupal coding standard is required.
  • Technical experience in HTML, CSS, SCSS, JavaScript, jQuery, and PHP;
  • Working experience in Git version control and the command line is required.
  • Strong client-services orientation with excellent communication skills to non-technical staff is desirable.
Languages:
  • Fluency in both oral and written English.
